The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) wishes to apologize to the residents of Grand Cayman who have been experiencing delays in their garbage collection services since the start of this week.

Affected areas include Governors Harbor, Prospect including Patrick’s Island and side roads, homes from the junction of Shamrock Road/ Prospect Point Road to Will T Drive inclusive of homes of the East-West Arterial, Spotts, Savannah, Newlands and side roads.

The delay in collection has been caused by unforeseen challenges that the department has encountered during this past week.

The DEH is working tirelessly to ensure that normal collections resume in the shortest possible time. Outstanding areas will be collected tomorrow (Friday, 26 January 2018). Areas which are scheduled for collection on Friday will be collected on Saturday.

The Department of Environmental Health once again apologizes to residents in the affected areas and urges those residents who continue to experience non-collection of their garbage to make contact with our office by calling 949-6696 or by emailing us at
