DEH Recognises Employees

The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) formally recognised 14 of its employees for their outstanding service to the department throughout 2018 last Saturday (8 December) during its Christmas dinner at the Holiday Inn Resort.
DEH Acting Director Richard Simms lauded the entire DEH staff for their hard work and dedication. “Thank you for your stellar contribution to the DEH and the people of the Cayman Islands. I especially want to recognise those of you who were nominated by your supervisors. Your motivation and commitment are an embodiment of what it means to be a civil servant”, he said.
Awardees expressed gratitude to the department for recognising their efforts.
“I am greatly humbled and appreciative for the award and would like to thank the department for recognising our efforts,” said Tanya Legall, one of the awardees in the environmental health section.
Each head of section/supervisor nominated a member of his/her team based on the following criteria: attitude towards work, attendance, teamwork, job performance, personal development, professionalism and communications skills.
Others receiving awards were: Cherie Branch, Catherine Miller, Carlton Henry, Donovan Wilson, Carol Glasgow, Ronald Douglas, Shavonnie Hislop, Marco Myles, Mark Robson, Tanya Legall, Alice McField, Paul Hodgson and Laurel McLean.
