The Recall of Unsafe Food Products

The Food Safety Team routinely monitors the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Enforcement Reports for the recall of food products that could cause harm to consumers.

This includes such products that are dangerous or could predictably cause serious health problems or death, and products that might cause a temporary health problem, or pose only a slight threat of a serious nature.

The Food Safety Team works closely with food importers, wholesalers and retailers to ensure that affected products are not sold to the consumer and, where necessary, destroyed. When necessary, the DEH will issue a press release to provide information to the public on such recalls.

If you have any queries concerning the recall of food, please contact DEH at (345) 949-6696.
