A Class of Information is a way of collecting together similar types of information. The Department of Environmental Health has grouped its Classes of Information into broad categories (or functions) which reflect the Department of Environmental Health's outputs. If you are intending to make a request, the following grouping of information should give you an indication of where the information may be found.

  1. Cabinet reports or recommendations and Tender Contracts.
    • FOI request concerning this type of information should be directed to the Ministry of Health, Sports, Youth & Culture and / or the Central Tenders (Procurement) Committee.
  2. Complaints & investigative reports of complaints
    • The majority of the information can be access by the public using the FOI Law once it is in the interest of the public. But access to personnel information of clients and private residents is restricted.
  3. Personal or Human Resource records.
    • Access to this type of information is restricted to the relevant personnel as perscribed by the FOI law.
  4. Lab reports analysis reports of water, food, landfill water samples
    • The majority of the information can be access by the public using the FOI Law once it is in the interest of the public. But access to personnel information of clients and private residents is restricted.
  5. Inspection reports & recommendations for schools, food establishments, hotels, etc
    • The majority of the information can be access by the public using the FOI Law once it is in the interest of the public. But access to personnel information of clients and private residents is restricted.
  6. Financial Information such as accounts records, fees and budget information.
    • Information about DEH budget and financial regulations can be found on the main goverment website at www.gov.ky
